“The art of developing writing skills: Preparing students for examinations and real life tasks.”
In this session, we will focus on how we can help learners to effectively develop both their communicative competence and their writing skills. We will discuss common problems that learners encounter when writing and see how we, as teachers, can address those problems. We will also look at some activities that can help our students with generating ideas, planning and organization , and we will discuss different ways of giving feedback. This approach enables learners to use the English language to communicate successfully in a wide variety of situations, ranging from the more informal everyday use of the language to more formal exam requirements.

Тема: “Building up the speaking skills”
This presentation focuses on the development of speaking skills, which is often neglected in many language classrooms for a number of reasons, ranging from syllabus design to time factors and classroom management. This presentation outlines the aims of teaching the speaking skills and argues that learners should be communicating for a purpose. After discussing a number of factors that minimise communicative stress - so that learners are not too scared to speak – participants will learn and practise some techniques which maximise the effectiveness of speaking tasks and activities.
